Most people think blogging is dead. They believe that unless you’ve been writing online for years, Google will never surface your content. But here’s the truth that most people are missing — AI has completely changed the blogging game.

The people winning on Google right now aren’t just great writers. They are smart AI users. They know how to combine the right tools, the right prompts, and a simple workflow to produce quality content — fast.

In this guide, you will learn the exact 5-step workflow to research, write, and optimise a complete blog post using AI. No writing degree needed. No SEO agency required. Just the right tools, used the right way.

💡
Why blogging still matters in 2025
A well-written, SEO-optimised blog post can appear in Google results and bring you free, consistent traffic for months — even years. Unlike social media posts that disappear in 24 hours, blog posts keep working for you around the clock.

Section 1

Why AI Blogging Actually Works for Beginners

Google does not care who wrote your article — a human or an AI. What Google cares about is whether your content genuinely helps the person searching. If your article answers a question clearly, covers the topic thoroughly, and is easy to read, Google will recommend it.

AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude have become exceptional at producing helpful, readable, well-structured content — especially when you guide them with the right prompts. The result? Beginners can now produce the same quality content that used to require professional writers and SEO consultants.

❌ Without AI
⏱ 4–6 hours to research and write one post
💸 £200–£500 to hire a writer or SEO consultant
😰 Keyword research takes hours of guesswork
📉 Most beginners give up before they see results

✅ With AI
⚡ 10–15 minutes for a complete, optimised article
🆓 Free tools handle research, writing, and SEO
🎯 Keyword ideas in seconds from Perplexity AI
📈 Publish consistently — 2 posts a week = 100+ articles a year

📊
The Compounding Effect
If you publish just 2 AI-assisted blog posts per week, you will have over 100 articles working for you on Google by the end of the year. Each one is a door that can bring new visitors to your site — permanently, for free.

Step 1 of 5

🔍 Find Your Keywords with Perplexity AI

Before you write a single word, you need to know what your audience is actually searching for. This is called keyword research, and it used to require expensive tools. Perplexity AI makes it free and instant.

Perplexity AI searches the internet in real time and tells you the exact questions people are typing into Google right now. This means your content will be built around what real people actually want to read — which is exactly what Google rewards.

How to use Perplexity AI for keyword research

1
Go to perplexity.ai and sign in
Create a free account or sign in with Google. The free plan is all you need for this exercise.

2
Type in your niche topic
Enter your broad topic into the search bar — for example: “AI tools for small businesses in the UK”. Perplexity will search the web and return a detailed, sourced answer showing you current interest areas.

3
Use this exact prompt to get keyword ideas
Copy the prompt below and paste it into Perplexity AI with your own topic filled in.

🔍 Perplexity AI Prompt — Keyword Research
What are the most commonly searched questions about [YOUR TOPIC] right now? Give me 10 specific questions people are typing into Google, organised by beginner, intermediate, and advanced intent. Include any related keywords or phrases that are currently trending.
💡 Replace [YOUR TOPIC] with your niche — e.g. “starting an online business in Nigeria” or “AI tools for students in the UK”

What to look for in the results
Look for questions that start with “how to”, “what is”, or “best way to” — these have the highest search volume and show strong intent. Pick one question to turn into your blog post title. That question becomes your target keyword.

Step 2 of 5

📋 Create Your Blog Outline with ChatGPT

Now that you have your keyword, it is time to build the skeleton of your article. A strong blog outline gives your article structure, ensures you cover the topic fully, and makes the writing process ten times faster.

ChatGPT is excellent at creating detailed, SEO-friendly blog outlines. It knows how to structure content so Google can easily understand what your article covers.

The blog outline prompt

📋 ChatGPT Prompt — Blog Outline
Create an SEO-optimised blog post outline for the keyword “[YOUR TARGET KEYWORD]”.

Include:
– An H1 title that includes the keyword naturally
– 6 to 8 H2 subheadings covering the topic thoroughly
– A brief description (2–3 sentences) of what each section should cover
– Suggested word count for each section
– A meta title (under 60 characters) with the keyword
– A meta description (under 160 characters) that encourages clicks

Write for a complete beginner who has never heard of this topic before. Use simple, clear language.

💡 Example keyword: “how to use ChatGPT for beginners” or “best free AI tools for small businesses”

What a good outline looks like

Here is an example of a blog outline ChatGPT might produce for the keyword “how to use AI for customer service”:

📄

H2: What Is AI Customer Service? (150 words) — Define AI in customer service and why businesses are adopting it.
H2: 5 Benefits of AI for Customer Support (250 words) — Cover speed, cost, 24/7 availability, consistency, and personalisation.
H2: Best Free AI Tools for Customer Service in 2025 (300 words) — Overview of Tidio, Intercom, and ChatGPT integrations.
H2: Step-by-Step Setup Guide (400 words) — How to implement your first AI chatbot.
Conclusion + CTA (100 words)

Meta Title: How to Use AI for Customer Service (Free Guide 2025)
Meta Description: Learn how to use AI to handle customer support, save time, and grow your business. Free tools included.

⚠️
Do not skip the outline stage
Jumping straight to writing without an outline is the most common beginner mistake. The outline is what makes your article comprehensive — and comprehensive articles are what Google ranks highest. A thin, rushed article will not perform no matter how well it is written.

Step 3 of 5

✍️ Write Your Full Article with Claude AI

This is where your blog post actually gets written. You are going to take the outline from Step 2 and hand it to Claude AI to write the full article.

Claude is one of the best AI tools for long-form writing. It writes in a clear, natural, human style — it does not sound robotic or repetitive. It is particularly good at explaining complex topics simply, which is exactly what beginner audiences need.

How to use Claude to write your article

1
Go to claude.ai and open a new conversation
The free plan is sufficient. You do not need Claude Pro for this task.

2
Copy your ChatGPT outline
Go back to your ChatGPT conversation, select the full outline, and copy it to your clipboard.

3
Paste the outline into Claude with this writing prompt
Use the prompt below — paste your full outline where indicated.

✍️ Claude AI Prompt — Full Article Writing
Write a complete, SEO-optimised blog post based on this outline:

[PASTE YOUR FULL OUTLINE HERE]

Guidelines:
– Tone: professional, warm, and beginner-friendly — like a knowledgeable friend explaining something clearly
– Include a compelling introduction with a hook in the first paragraph
– Give practical, real-world examples in every section
– Use short paragraphs (3–4 sentences max) for easy reading
– Write a clear conclusion with one specific action step for the reader
– Target keyword: [YOUR KEYWORD] — use it naturally in the first paragraph, at least 2 subheadings, and the conclusion
– Target word count: [1000–1500 words]
– Do not use jargon — explain every technical term simply when first mentioned

💡 Claude will produce your full article in one go. Read it through and ask Claude to adjust any sections that need more detail or a simpler explanation.

Refining the article with Claude

Once Claude produces your draft, do not just publish it immediately. Read through it and use these follow-up prompts to improve specific sections:

🔄 Claude Refinement Prompts
To simplify: “Rewrite this section in simpler language for someone who has never used AI before: [PASTE SECTION]”

To add examples: “Add 2 practical real-world examples to this section that an entrepreneur in the UK or Africa could relate to: [PASTE SECTION]”

To improve the intro: “Rewrite the introduction with a stronger hook. Open with a surprising fact or a relatable problem. Keep it under 80 words.”

To strengthen the conclusion: “Write a conclusion that summarises the 3 key takeaways and ends with a clear, motivating call to action to try the first step today.”

💡
Always review AI-written content before publishing
AI is a powerful writing assistant, not a replacement for your judgement. Read through the article and add any personal insights, local examples, or specific knowledge that only you can bring. This human layer is what makes your content stand out and builds trust with your readers.

Step 4 of 5

📈 Optimise for SEO with Rank Math

Writing a great article is only half the work. The other half is making sure Google can find it, understand it, and rank it. This is where Rank Math comes in.

Rank Math is a free WordPress plugin that acts like an SEO coach sitting right inside your website. It reads your article and gives you a score from 0 to 100, telling you exactly what to fix to improve your chances of ranking.

How to set up and use Rank Math

1
Install Rank Math on your WordPress site
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → search “Rank Math SEO” → Install and Activate. It is free and installs in under 2 minutes on your Hostinger WordPress site.

2
Create a new post and paste your article
Go to Posts → Add New. Paste your Claude-written article into the WordPress editor. Add your H1 title at the top.

3
Set your focus keyword in Rank Math
In the right sidebar, find the Rank Math panel. Click “Add Focus Keyword” and type in your target keyword. Rank Math will immediately begin scoring your article.

4
Fix the issues Rank Math highlights
Rank Math shows you a checklist of items to fix. Work through each one. Common fixes include adding your keyword to the first paragraph, making your meta description the right length, and adding alt text to images.

Use ChatGPT to fix specific Rank Math issues

🛠 ChatGPT Prompt — Fix SEO Issues
My blog post about “[YOUR TOPIC]” has these Rank Math SEO issues. Please fix each one:

Issue 1: The focus keyword “[KEYWORD]” does not appear in the first 10% of the article.
Issue 2: The meta description is 185 characters — it needs to be under 160 characters.
Issue 3: There are no internal links to other pages on my site.

Here is my current introduction paragraph: [PASTE YOUR INTRO]
Here is my current meta description: [PASTE YOUR META]

Please rewrite the intro to include the keyword naturally in the first sentence, and shorten the meta description while keeping it compelling.

🎯
Target: a green score of 80 or above
A Rank Math score of 80+ means your article is well-optimised for your target keyword. Do not obsess over reaching 100 — 80 is excellent and most successful blog posts sit between 80 and 95. Spend 10 minutes fixing the red and orange items, then move on.

Step 5 of 5

🚀 Publish, Index & Share

Your article is written and optimised. Now it is time to get it in front of Google and your audience. Many beginners publish their article and wait — and wonder why nothing happens. The secret is to actively tell Google your article exists, and then share it across your channels to generate initial traffic.

1
Add a featured image
Use Canva AI (free) to create a simple, visually relevant featured image. Search Google Images for royalty-free alternatives, or use Unsplash.com. Add the image and include your keyword in the image’s alt text field in WordPress.

2
Publish your post on WordPress
Click “Publish” in the top right of your WordPress editor. Your Rank Math score should already be showing green (80+) before you click publish.

3
Submit to Google Search Console
Go to Google Search Console → URL Inspection → paste your new blog post URL → click “Request Indexing”. This tells Google your article exists and speeds up how quickly it appears in search results. Without this step, it can take weeks for Google to find your article.

4
Repurpose to social media using ChatGPT
Use the prompt below to instantly turn your blog post into social media content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and your WhatsApp community.

📱 ChatGPT Prompt — Repurpose to Social Media
I have just published a blog post titled “[YOUR TITLE]”. Here is a summary of the article: [PASTE YOUR INTRO + MAIN POINTS]

2. An Instagram caption (50 words) with 5 relevant hashtags and a call to action
3. A WhatsApp community message (40 words) that feels warm and personal, inviting people to read and share their thoughts

Section 8

⚠️ Common AI Blogging Mistakes to Avoid

These are the mistakes that stop beginners from seeing results. Make sure you are not making any of them.

Publishing AI content without reading it first
AI can produce inaccurate information, especially about statistics, dates, and specific facts. Always read your article before publishing. Add your own knowledge and fix anything that does not feel right.

Writing about topics with no keyword research
Writing about what you find interesting is fine for a personal journal — but for a blog that ranks on Google, you need to write about what people are actually searching for. Always do Step 1 (keyword research) before you write a single word.

Writing short, thin articles
Google prefers comprehensive articles that cover a topic fully. A 300-word article will almost never rank. Aim for a minimum of 800 words, with 1,200–1,500 words being ideal for most beginner blog topics.

Never submitting to Google Search Console
Publishing and waiting is not a strategy. Without requesting indexing in Google Search Console, your article could sit unnoticed for weeks. Always submit every new post immediately after publishing.

Writing one article and giving up
Blogging is a long game. Most articles take 3–6 months to begin ranking on Google. Consistency is everything. Use AI to publish regularly — even one well-optimised post per week compounds enormously over time.
